Işıl Baytok

Işıl  Baytok, Partner of SBA Consulting, specializes in Banking and Capital Markets Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Initial Public Offerings, Foreign Investments and Foundations Law.

Işıl Baytok has completed TED Ankara College and has subsequently received a Law Degree from Ankara University in 1970. She has completed her post graduate studies at the American University in Washington D.C. with a Fulbright scholarship. Her previous experience includes her work at the Ministry of Tourism as Attorney and as Assistant Manager in the Expropriation Department, at Development Bank of Turkey as Secretary to the Board, Attorney, Deputy General Counsel, Consultant to Chairman, the World Bank as consultant; Development Bank of Turkey as the Manager of Istanbul Securities Center; at the First National Bank of Boston (which then became Oyakbank and now ING Bank) as Legal and Capital Markets Coordinator, as the General Manager of Oyak Portfolio Management Company, and as the Legal Director in Coca-Cola Beverage Company in Istanbul.

Mrs. Baytok was the Chairperson of Turkish Economic Law Research Foundation, Vice President of the Foreign Relations Center at the Istanbul Bar Association, Advisory Board Member at The American and International Law Academy at Dallas, Texas where she is an alumna and was a lecturer at the Boğaziçi University Faculty of Tourism Management, lecturing “Introduction to Law” and in Özyeğin University in the Faculty of Gastronomy and Hotelier lecturing “Introduction to Law”. She has been acting as the Legal Advisor of British Chamber of Commerce in Turkey since 2013. She is currently the auditor of the Fullbright Alumni Association.
